Due to these unprecedented and still uncertain times, for the foreseeable future I will be continuing with my online classes only and not be offering indoor group exercise classes. I’ve never been one to put myself first, but in light of my personal situation, I feel it’s the only and safest choice.

To those of you who have already joined me on Zoom, thank you so much! Having your encouragement and support from the outset has made the transition process so much easier and very pleasant. It also means a lot knowing that you’re really enjoying the classes, and it’s been particularly delightful seeing familiar faces and exciting to see new ones. I’ve had lots of positive feedback. Here are some of the most obvious benefits and ones that you, my clients have mentioned to me:

IMPORTANT INFO BEFORE YOU BOOK …

My objective is for you to enjoy my online classes, and because I’m not physically with you, it’s important that you take responsibility for your own practice by acknowledging and respecting your own physical limitations.

By participating in my classes, you recognise that there is an element of risk involved with any physical activity and your participation in any session is solely at your own risk. If at any time during a session you feel discomfort or pain, you should cease the exercise and seek medical assistance as required. Your participation in these sessions is entirely voluntary and you may opt out at any given time if you so wish.

If you have any concerns about your physical health, you should seek advice from your doctor or health care provider before beginning any of Breakthrough Fitness’ online classes.

Here’s a checklist before you begin an online class:

  • You must read, signed and submit the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire if you have not already done so.
  • You must read, signed and submit the Disclaimer if you have not already done so.
  • Ensure the area around you is clear and safe with clear floor area, no overhanging lights, or sharp edges of furniture.
  • Please make sure you are wearing appropriate clothing for the activity – light, comfortable and allows you to move freely.
  • Any pets or children should preferably be outside the exercise area as this could be a potential health and safety hazard by causing a distraction.
  • If you are feeling unwell at any time during the class, please stop immediately.
  • Ensure your room is well ventilated – especially if it is hot weather.
  • Please make sure you ‘Pin’ the instructor video to your screen and ensure your camera is positioned in a place so I, the instructor, can see you during the class (only if you are doing two-way video)
